Artist’s Statement & Bio
The flow of movement and rhythm are primary to my work. Being able to convey the sensations of rhythmic movements using different media is my focus, whether it is wood, concrete, metal, pencil or paint. I don't have one medium that I like more than another but rather find myself drawn into one or another for a period of time than to a different one.
I rarely title my works. For me it is important for the viewer to be able to use their imagination not be influenced by what I thought the piece to be. In my opinion, not having titles opens up dialogue. And after all, art should evoke a response, no matter what the response might be. These dialogues breath life into art.
